musical beat Empty Review to Musical Beat

Musical Beat is a great game were the goal is to get 100 points by clicking the arrows on the keyboard to match those seen on the screen before they fly off the screen. The game also provides a large choice of difficulty’s to match everybody’s ability’s, whether they are in for a fun time or a serious challenge. The game on entry of the game you instantly enter the tutorial showing you the concept of the game however I think the game would be more pleasurable if there was an open title so the player isn’t rushed straight in. Also the tutorial could be slower paced and give instructions on how to play so that the player could get the most out of the game. Overall though the game out of the six games we could choose to review Musical Beat was by far the most enjoyable to play. Due to the complexity I could assume that there were many challenges before the end product came into existence and choosing to work through those problems instead taking shortcut really paid off. Great job.  bounce

At first I was confused as to what was going on and how to play. But within a few seconds I understood. It was very cool to look at, as the animations and colours really stood out and made it interesting to look at. The first three levels were a playable amount of challenge, but the last level "suicide", (which was the hardest level) was impossible to play. In my opinion, the graphics were great, with just the right amount. There were no instructions provided, which was a bit of a letdown. But in saying that, it wasn’t too difficult to figure out. A scoring system was provided which is great. It was quite forgiving to mistakes, as I made quite a few but I was still able to continue on the same level, even though my points decreased. The only aspect that was confusing to me, was at the start, because I was unsure how to play, but then figured it out. The controls were very simple to use. I think the best part of the game is the animations. Worst part is probably the level suicide haha. The only thing I can think to improve is; to make the last level more achieveable.

The “Musical Beat Game” is great and easy to play by using the arrow keys on the keyboard. The design of the game looked nice and had very vibrant colours to grab the gamer’s attention. The moving images in the background also gets the attention of the player. The level of challenge was acceptable as it had a few levels to choose from once you passed the first game after pressing start. The game wasn’t graphic and instructions for the game was not required for the game as it was very obvious on what keys that is needed to be used in the game. The game had a scoring system which was required when playing the game. It was forgiving when you made a mistake by only taking 5 points away. The best part of the game was that it had different levels and that the game had music. There weren’t any bad parts and it was not confusing when playing. In the game there isn’t many things that needed improvement. Some parts that can be improved or added is by having an exit button to the menu or a timer for the game if you are taking too long to complete the game. Another part you could improve on is the speed of the arrows moving in the game at the start by making it slower. Overall the game was enjoyable.

The game I am reviewing today is the music game, by I know how to play the game myself and I was quite at it the first time I played but it does take some skill and you do have to be quick with your fingers. The music game was surprisingly very nice to look at it was very colourful and cool and it made the game a bit more exiting to play. There were 4 main difficulty levels in the game to choose from depending on your skill level, there levels are easy, medium, hard and extreme which is almost impossible but I like to challenge myself when playing new games so I tried all levels. The graphics in the game were appealing and colourful but not amazing. There are no specific instructions on the game but once you start to play its quite easy to figure out what to do. The game did have a scoring system that was pretty strait forward basically you had to press an arrow key on the right direction and if you do its 5 points and if you miss or press the wrong arrow it’s minus 5 points the top score is 100 and if you get minus 20 you lose. I think the scoring system worked well with this game and made the game more challenging. I think the only forgiving thing about the game is you get 4 tries before game over. The one aspect of the game that confused me a bit was that when you die a little character of stich dies behind the go back button and although it does look cool I don’t think it has anything to do with the game. The actual gameplay wasn’t confusing at all it was pretty strait forward on showing what your objective is and how to reach that objective. The controls were very easy to use in the music game basically all you had to do was press the arrow keys. The best part about the game would have to be winning i think and the worst part of the game would have to be the extreme level in the game its set way to fast and it’s quite glitchy.
