Feel free to critique this game. I want to know about all aspects of the game (Visual appeal, challenge, interest, replay ability, is the content appropriate, etc)

I do enjoy this game for it was a good game but also short. I can tell that a lot a of time was spent to make this game.

The game was very enjoyable. The graphics were relatively realistic and morally ambiguous decisions made for great challenge. Overall the game was an interesting few minutes, but that was all it was; a few minutes, after which all options had been exhausted and the player has no reason to replay the game. All in all, It's about an 8 out of 10.

The story telling in this game was great ( except for spelling errors) a few images were very blurry but that was a minor issue. I thought it was just going to be a click adventure but the click and dragging feature was a nice addition to this type of game. but I didn't like how the adventures of the characters weren't finished and leaving us all guessing. so all in all I its gr8 m8 I r8 8/8

Yes I did know how to play the game, it was very simply set up and easy to find out how to play.
The game was very nice to look at. It was presented well and great storylines.
The level of challenge in this game is moderate, its more just go along with the story mode, there isn’t many paths to take, but it’s simple and very well coded. The game wasn’t too graphic, it was kept at an acceptable level and didn’t show overly gore scenes.
There were no instructions needed in this game as it’s really self-done and common sense as to your paths.
This game didn’t have a scoring system and it didn’t need one. Had this game had a scoring system, it would’ve ruined the game.
It wasn’t forgiving as it takes you back to the start as soon as you mess up, but it’s not too hard to get back up to the point in the game you were at.
None of the aspects were confusing although I would’ve liked some instructions with the dragging scene of the game.
Yes the controls were very easy and that is one of the aspects that made the game addictive and making me want to play it again just to see the other paths.

The best aspects of the game are:
- The games set-up was very well done.

- The games storyline is good, it all follows along and makes an actual story which was great.

- The different games within the game were very nice.

The worst aspects of the game are:
- No instructions for some parts.

- Would’ve liked the storylines of each character to go a little longer.

Aspects the need to be improved are:
1. Make story line longer.
2. Give instructions when it comes to the dragging objects scenes.
3. Add more little games within the game to intrigue the players more.

The game controls were simplistic and easy to use and the visuals (although stolen) were appealing to the eye throughout the game. Instructions weren’t provided the concept of this game is obvious. There is no room for mistake in this adventure; it ends abruptly if you choose the wrong path however this is what was most enjoyable about this game. This game could have a voice over of the script so those who do not enjoy reading.

This game has some merit to it, has some story a little bit of gameplay as well with the drag and drop feature but that's about it, 6/10

Shows signs of promise, but it stumbles in its attempt to craft a compelling story.

I disagree with you "Lucci_Is_The_Worst" this game is very engaging and the story was very well done for the amount of time allocated, I enjoyed this game and yes although the storylines are short, if you add each of the storylines and look at them as one the storyline is quiet long and it keeps you engaged with each of the little games that were added

The choose your adventure story game was a fun and interesting game to play.
My main problem was that there was no sounds and some of the ending just ended or killed you.
In the future try and add more decisions for the player to make and add in more consequences that don't allows mean death.
also when is part two coming.

Choose your own adventure flash games are in short supplies now a days with the more advanced game engines creating adventures games 10 times better than what flash can create but that doesn’t mean that flash game creators can’t create something fun and interesting.
This Adventure game allows you to play as 3 well known medieval characters which include the hard working and simple peasant, the Blade for hire mercenary, or the chivalrous knight. The three stories end up intertwining with each other so its interesting and also fun to see how each character is connected whether it be by friendly relations or hostile relations. Sticking with the norm in adventure games this game allows you to make you own choices when the choice arises but if one is not careful it could result in their untimely demise so it is worth it to think about the choice instead of mindlessly making it. Another good feature is the amount of detail and thought put into the story, a story like this couldn’t be thought of on the spot it could take some planning beforehand and making up new content along the way, Having a well thought out story like this just serves to improve your game just as much as your gameplay could but in this case it could impact the way the player plays and thinks by making them consider the consequences of your actions. Another positive feature is the click and drag mini games and it gives a nice change of pace from the adventure game and especially the knight storyline which has you match the recruit archer horseman and pikeman to the same type of unit which is the captain of the type of soldier.
But just they’re positives of the game there has to be negatives to the game. A flaw I could see within the game could be the lack of “transportation cut scenes” in the mercenary and knight storylines because only the peasant had this cut scene, if these were added in the other two storylines this could’ve turned into a positive. Another Negative is that the stories aren’t finished, this may have taken a while to finish but posting an unfinished game is just a big no no.
But in my opinion this game was a great idea but it could use a few tweaks to turn some negatives mentioned above into positives. My final rating would have to be 7/10.

Hey"nherr5" although I do agree with your point of view a little and understand where your coming from I don't agree with your statement in the deaths being a bad aspect, it not only makes the game longer, but it also allows the player to think as if he/she was a peasant, knight or mercenary and think how would the peasant/knight/mercenary think if they were in this situation, would they kill someone for their lord or would the disobey the lord and go down "The Hard Life" causing death. I really like the death aspect, it intrigued me into the game more.

I liked the feature to chose a story at the beginning of the game. I liked it how each story had a different plot and that made me want to replay the game as each of the classes. My favourite was the mercenary.

My Review

Post by Darius Burato on Mon Jul 25, 2016 9:33 am

Choose your own adventure game is a basic story game. The rules are very basic, click, read and make decisions as you proceed through the story of each character. The game was alright to look at, but some of the pictures were very pixelated which made it hard to see what was going on. On difficulty levels it was not a challenge type game as you chose your own story to see where it leads you as this game could be played by children as there was no blood and gore. Instruction wise, there were none throughout the game, in my opinion the game didn’t even need instructions as it is that basic and no scoring was placed anywhere in the game as it did not need it.

The game can be unfair at times as when you chose the wrong path you had to completely restart the game. None of the aspects of the game were confusing at all. The controls are simple, as said before, very basic, click, read and make decisions.

The best part about the game is making your own story and learning more about the other characters as much as you can, the worst part is the game was not long at all, the story for each character was very short.

Overall, this game could add more time into getting better pictures, have a longer storyline for each character and add more decisions you can make to decide more things.
